Welcome to ClassicTXT, the retro online plain text editor without any sign-ups or ads. ClassicTXT was inspired by the wordprocessors of the past and modern terminal-based text editors. The editor allows you to upload any TXT file or save your text as a TXT file. The editor also allows you to encrypt or decrypt your text using a user-defined secret key. Do not lose your secret key, as it will be impossible to decrypt your text.
Everything on this site, including encryption, is processed client-side, meaning that we do not store or process any data on our server. The editor uses AES encryption powered by the CryptoJs library.
